Covid Update - May

I want to start by sincerely thanking each and every one of you for your generous donations to our Day of Giving. With your important support we were able to almost complete our bonus amount. I also want to share with you some recent encouraging developments from the Ontario Government. Last week we were very excited to hear Premier Doug Ford make a commitment that summer camps would open. Yesterday, the plan was released and overnight summer camps were clearly included in STEP 2 of the ROADMAP TO REOPEN outline. Here is the specific paragraph that pertains to overnight camp:
· Step Two: Further expanding outdoor activities and resuming limited indoor services with small numbers of people where face coverings are worn. This includes outdoor gatherings of up to 25 people, outdoor sports and leagues, overnight camps, personal care services where face coverings can be worn and with capacity limits, as well as indoor religious services, rites or ceremony gatherings at 15 per cent capacity.
While Step Two will only be confirmed July 4th and after 70% of adults are vaccinated with one dose and 20% vaccinated with two doses, we are confident, based on communication from the Ontario Camping Association, that we are moving in the right direction and will therefore, as promised, be able to confirm by the end of the month on our final decision to open Camp Moshava Ennismore.
Until then, we continue to plan for an amazing, exciting but most of all safe, Camp Moshava 2021!
