Rosh Mosh 2014 / 5774

Great summer

For both my kids the friends they had in the bunk and counselors was what made the summer so great. They also enjoyed the water sports.

Smiles everywhere

Hi Vicky,

The boys arrived home with half a smile. They left half of it in camp! They are happy to be home but had such an incredible summer. In fact they are so sure that they are coming back next year that one of them came home with an entirely empty duffle bag!

Please make sure you thank the appropriate staff for making their first camp experience such a success. I was watching the camp pics with a very critical eye. Your programming looked great. The activities seemed engaging and the kids were all happy.

Enjoy the last two weeks of camp. I know the boys wish they were still there

So well run

Quality of activities far surpasses other popular overnight camp for Ottawa Jewish kids and we absolutely loved how hands on the staff were in caring for the younger kids. We felt no concern that anyone would be ostracized or bullied. The set up seemed to really encourage staff engagement with kids to ensure that everyone was included and having fun at all times. Moshava also does a beautiful job of encouraging kids of different ages of developing friendships, which we loved. And we loved that the kids feel a deep connection with Israel through the Israeli staff. We also think you did a superb job of communicating with parents and of allowing us to feel very much part of the experience with daily pictures, videos, etc. Compared to the experience that our friends had sending their kids to camp for the very first time, Moshava far surpassed them all. We heard stories of children not showering or changing their clothes, others of kids being very sunburned, complaining of bullying, etc. And there never seemed to be a real confidence that the camp staff was dealing with those issues. We felt no such concern with Moshava. We were very confident that our child was very well cared for.

Rosh Mosh

My name is Yadin Koschitzky and I am incredibly excited to be Rosh Mosh for summer 5775 at Camp Moshava! I am from Toronto, and after graduating from Yeshivat Or Chaim I studied in Israel for a year and a half in the hesder yeshiva Birkat Moshe which is located in Maaleh Adumim. In March 2012 I enlisted into the Paratroopers brigade of the Israel Defense Forces for 14 months. Following my service , I enrolled in Columbia University , where I am currently a student.

Moshava has always been my second home, as I was a camper there for 6 years and a tzevet member for 3 years as Plugah and 1 year as Rosh Avodah . I have always been actively involved in Bnei Akiva, and I am currently the Sgan Mazkir Artzi for Bnei Akiva of the U.S and Canada.. Along with the incredible team of Roshei Eidah, I hope to provide the chanichim and chanichot with the most amazing summer experience possible, one in which they will grow individually as Jews and realize their own potential. I cannot wait for the summer to begin, and I am looking forward to seeing everyone at MOSH 5775!!!!
